  • ‘Taking up space’

My intention when painting is to create and explore large and small scale pieces capturing the figure within a domestic space. I want to give purpose to my surroundings.

My paintings explore the balance of strength, hope, sadness, fragility, sensuality and power of the female existence. They explore females taking up space in their surroundings. Whether it's female heroes in reality settings or female figures in domestic spaces.

Focussing on colour, composition, brush strokes and emotional intensity.

Playing around with expressionism and abstracting the figure to help create the narrative.
